
XC Course 2022
We are offering two courses starting with a two-week Intro to XC course designed for pilots wanting coaching and training for their first XC flights and a three week Intermediate/Advanced course for experienced XC pilots.
Beginner XC – 2 weeks with one provisional week. $500
May 4th – Wed - Theory / Intro – 3 Hours 6pm – 9pm
May 7th - Saturday - Fly Day Full
May 11th – Wed - Flight evaluations/theory – 3 Hours 6pm – 9pm
May 14th - Saturday - Fly Day / Post flight – Flight Eval – Goal Celebration
The beginner course includes pilot training, XC coaching from experienced XC pilots, Mentoring, Prizes, and a wrap up BBQ. XC beginner pilots will also be able to participate in the Intermediate/Advanced program with some restrictions.
**Beginners can sit in on advanced training.
**Can fly with gaggle but no retrieve.
**Can only fly to designated safe turning point.

May 21 - Saturday - Fly Day *** This is the long weekend
May 25 - Wed – Flight Evaluations - 3 Hours 6pm – 9pm
May 29 – Sat – Fly Day
June 1st – Wed Flight Evaluations - 3 Hours 6pm – 9pm
June 4th - Sat – Fly Day
June 8th – Wed – Flight Evaluations - 3 Hours 6pm – 9pm
June 11 – Sat – Fly Day / Post flight – Flight Eval – Goal Celebration
The Intermediate course will have complex terrain and goals so there will be some minimum requirements to join. Richard Bruneau will be approving your entry based on a flight assessment and past XC experience. The goal here is to keep people safe and set goals that pilots are not pushing past their experience and limits.
Mentoring, Prizes, and a wrap up BBQ are included.

For both courses we are encouraging the Intermediate/Advance and Beginner pilots to partake in both courses (only pay for one). Intermediate/Advanced pilots can do retrieves for the Beginners and help encourage and mentor. Beginner pilots can continue to learn and fly with restriction plus provide retrieves for Advanced pilots. There is lots to learn by being committed and emersed in such a program.
** For both courses Sunday would be fall back day for weather
** Additional information will be provided to participants.
** Flight goals and planning will be determined during morning briefings before flying.
Fly days are always Saturdays but Sunday is provisional.
