The P2 Course at Paraglide Canada
This Course is designed for both those who want to continue on from a previously acquired P1 qualification, or complete both P1 and P2 back to back, qualifying for an HPAC rating to fly solo in Canada and around the world.
This course is a must for safe flying on your own and to be able to fly at rating-required sites in Canada. The standalone P2 program requires the completion of a P1 beginner level course, prior to moving on to the 5 day P2 certification level. Our goal is to help you become a thinking, independent pilot.
Adding the P2 course onto your P1 training puts you on track to gaining your solo rating from HPAC within about 5 days, refining both your practical and theoretical knowledge. We will be flying at a variety of sites with certified instructors, perfecting your launching and landing techniques , canopy control , thermalling , XC flying and decision making . The ultimate goal is to achieve a total of 25 high flights by the end of your P1/P2 training. Both P1 and P2 courses carried out back to back usually takes about 10 days.
Paragliding HPAC Novice test and a log book are included.
All courses include modern equipment – paraglider, back protection harness, reserve parachute and 2-way radio. Comfortable air conditioned transportation to launch and a launch and landing instructor for up to 10 flights until you know how to land yourself safely .
Notes:
The P1 course is a prerequisite for the P2 course.
Quite often, if good weather persists throughout your course, P2 can be achieved in less than 10 days.
