What happens on the day?
Here is a step by step guide…
Call the school on the morning of the flight to check weather conditions
Then we'll establish a meeting point and time
Check in, sign waivers, re-check of weather conditions and meet your pilots.
Take a 20 minute drive to the launch location.
At launch your pilot will put you into your harness and prepare the equipment.
Review the take off procedure and ask any questions you have about the flight.
Enjoy the flight and the breath taking scenery as you fly like a bird over the Okanagan.
Do you jump off cliffs?
No. There is no jumping and no cliffs. A Tandem Paraglider is launched from a well-groomed, grassy slope. Together with the instructor/pilot, you take some running strides and are gently lifted off the ground as the glider begins to fly.
How long does the whole thing take?
From meeting, to landing back on the ground can take up to 1 hour 30 minutes.
